Melissa Brown Curated by Caroline Larsen Jennifer Sullivan is a New York-based artist working in painting, video, and performance. Solo exhibitions include Revenge Body at Five Car Garage, Los Angeles, CA (2016), House Cat at Arts + Leisure, New York, NY, (2015), Big Girl Paintings, Five Car Garage, Los Angeles, CA (2014), Adult Movie, Las Cienegas Projects, Los Angeles, CA (2011), and One-Week Walden, Freight + Volume, New York, NY (2010). Sullivan has also exhibited and performed in exhibitions at NADA NY, Marvin Gardens, Safe Gallery, Essex Flowers, Pablo's Birthday, 247365, Klaus Von Nichtsaggend, and the deCordova Museum. Awards include a fellowship at the Fine Arts Work Center, and residencies at the Lighthouse Works, Skowhegan, Ox-Bow, and Yaddo. Her work has been reviewed in the NY Times, Brooklyn Rail, Artforum, and Art Papers, and her videos are included in the Geisel Library collection at the University of California in San Diego. She is represented by Five Car Garage in Los Angeles, CA. Susy Oliveira is represented by Erin Stump Projects, Toronto. Ryan Schneider was born in Indianapolis, IN and holds a BFA from The Maryland Institute College of Art. Recent solo shows include “No Filter Eden” at V1 Gallery, Copenhagen, “Mojave Masks” at The Schneider Museum of Art, Ashland, Oregon, and “You Are Entering” at Richard Heller Gallery, Los Angeles. Recent group exhibitions include “Hope and Hazard: A Comedy of Eros” curated by Eric Fischl at The Hall Art Foundation in Reading, VT, “Brask Meets Willumsen” at the JF Willimsens Museum, Denmark, and “Natural Selection” at The Hole, NYC. His work is held in public and private collections worldwide, and has been reviewed or featured in The New Yorker, Art in America, Modern Painters, The Brooklyn Rail, ArtInfo, Artsy, Kunsten.dk, and The Paris Review, among many other publications. Schneider lives and works in the wild desert of Joshua Tree, California. Melissa Brown lives and works in New York City. She is a member of the artist-run gallery Essex Flowers and has mounted solo exhibitions most recently at Roberto Paradise, San Juan, Magenta Plains, New York and The Journal, Brooklyn. She has participated in group exhibitions at Mass MOCA, Canada, Gavin Brown's Enterprise, Klaus Von Nichtssagend and Musée International Des Arts Modestes. In 2012 she was awarded the Joan Mitchell Painter's Grant. Her show Between States at Derek Eller Gallery was reviewed by the New York Times. Anders Oinonen received his MFA from the University of Waterloo, and graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto. He is represented by Cooper Cole in Toronto. Solo exhibitions include Eyebrow Haircut at The Hole NYC, Phiz, Zagga Zow and People People at Cooper Cole, Toronto. Group exhibitions include Buying Friends, The Portman Collection at UICA in Grand Rapids, Storage Wars at Eric Firestone Gallery and Bobby Trap at The Hole NYC. |
